  2. How blessed are we to have known Emily. Em, you taught us more about strength, courage, and how to appreciate life and the world around us more than you'll ever know. Your compassion and wit will always be remembered. Thank you for the honor of being your friend.

Peg and Keith, please know that while we're not all in Seattle, we are with you in spirit.

    Love to you all,
    Ann

  5. I am grateful for each of your postings, Keith and Peg. My heart is still trying to grapple with the reality of her slipping away from us; she has touched so very many people. One person you may not know has been inspired by her for many years is our niece, Teresa's son, Justin White. He sent me a FB messenger message that moved me to tears, and I asked him if I could post it here: "I only met her once, but I saw her posts all the time. She didn't have an easy life, and her posts always reminded me of the importance of gratitude. She was an incredibly strong, graceful woman, and I'll make sure to remember that strength whenever life gets hard for me. She's always been an inspiration to me, and her beautiful nature will stick with me forever." That's just one of the lives that Emily has touched forever... I'd guess there are close to a thousand, when you think of all the connections each of us have, and all the stories we've been telling our friends about her. Five of my Sisters (nuns) have met her and they are grieving deeply with you and telling stories about her to dozens of others, and....her life story lives on. I am counting on coming to her Celebration of Life, whenever it is -- and Steve is, too. Love you both so very much. --Gina

  6. Keith and Peg, my heart is with you both even as I'm across the country. It is truly remarkable -- but not in the least bit surprising -- how many of us have echoed each other in the way Emily touched our lives. She was indeed a warrior, a brave and courageous soul, a kind and thoughtful friend, an authentic and inspiring guiding light. There is a hole in the world without her that you two must feel most of all, but know that the rest of us are feeling it with you and trying to fill it with the love and wonderful memories she left us with. She treated me like a sister and you let me into your family like another daughter, which is a very special thing for a young girl like me to experience. I will always remember the kindness the three of you gave to me. You are in my thoughts and Em's spirit is with us all. Sending all my love. - Adrienne

  7. Extraordinary Woman...
    Extraordinary Life...
    Extraordinary Parents...
Wrapping you both in Love at this difficult time... you are held by a community of people who were honored to be touched by Extrimily's strength, Grace, humor and Courage. Her spirit lives and will continue to live in the hearts of many.
Peg and Keith...Sending you both Love and strength as you begin a new path and Emily begins hers... I remember her clearly, fearlessly standing on the bow of the raft holding on to straps heading into the rapids of the Colorado, riding in to the afternoon sun like a majestic masthead up and down on each rapid, standing resolute and solid, gliding on the water diamonds of sunlight...I imagine her flying free now...
Sending a Heart full of Love to all who are grieving the Bright Light of Emily.
We will be with you, Peg and Keith as you drive south from Seattle and when you return home.
    Rays of healing Love,
    Allison
